The KahBang Festival 2012 is proud to present its 4th annual summer music festival lineup, featuring Bassnectar, Deftones, Wale, Penguin Prison, Paper Diamond, Reptar, Astronautalis, and dozens more.  The festival will be held August 9th-12th 2012 in Bangor, Maine along the Waterfront and in venues across the city.  In total, over 70 bands and musicians will be performing in and around the KahBang festival grounds.  The festival’s campsite will feature entertainment through the duration of the event.  Tickets and camping passes are on sale now at www.kahbang.com and at all Ticketmaster locations.
 
The KahBang Festival takes over the city of Bangor, Maine for 4 days and brings together a wide variety of genres and styles in music, art, and film.  This year features performances of hip-hop, indie rock, pop, and alternative acts along with headliners Bassnectar, Deftones, and Wale.  The KahBang Festival is dedicated to the discovery of new music, art, and film, and will be presenting many up-and-coming artists from New England and around the country.  Throughout the festival’s span, Bangor bars and venues will host intimate showcases of performers and artists also performing on the Waterfront.
 
The KahBang Art Festival will be curating events across the city, including 12 galleries, a downtown art walk on Friday the 10th, and installations along the waterfront during the music portions of the fest.  Artists from across the country will be presenting work of a variety of visual styles.

THURSDAY, AUGUST 9TH - Kickoff show featuring JACOB AUGUSTINE / SUNSET HEARTS / A SEVERE JOY / ROB BURNELL / KahBang’s first annual Brew Fest will take place in Downtown Bangor featuring beer from Maine-based micro and home brewers, and will include the announcement of the winner of this year’s Maine Home-brewer’s Competition.
 
FRIDAY, AUGUST 10TH – DEFTONES / WALE / BAD RABBITS / REPTAR / LADY LAMB THE BEEKEEPER / SPOSE / THE CYBORG TRIO / LATE CAMBRIAN / THIS WAY / THE MALLETT BROTHERS BAND / MINIBOONE / VOLCANO RABBIT / ANIMAL TALK / NO EVIL STAR / THE BOX TIGER / ALOUD / ROZ RASKIN & THE RICE CAKES / DARLINGSIDE / GRAVEYARD LOVERS / THE MILKMAN’S UNION / EDUCATED ADVOCATES / LIGHTS RESOLVE / THE BEHAVIOR OF MOTHS with campsite performance by THE CYBORG TRIO / KahBoat returns as one of the festival’s most anticipated events, scheduled for Friday of the festival. KahBoat is a music showcase staged while on board a river cruise of the Historic Penobscot River.
