Shoot Off Rockets in Celebration of Independence Day The Discovery Museums’ Half-Price Friday Night FREE Admission for active duty military & families as part of the Blue Star Museums Program The Museums will collect donations for the Acton Food Pantry The Discovery Museums’ Summer Half-Price Friday Nights continue this Friday with Stomp Rockets, a drop-in program from 6:00 – 8:00pm. Families can explore the engineering design process by creating a rocket and shooting it into the air using our special stomp rocket launchers. Half-price admission ($5.25 for adults and kids, $4.75 for Seniors 60+, free for children under 1 and Members) starts at 4:30pm; the museums will stay open late, until 9:00pm. Families are invited to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the campus in the evening. The VeeBop ice cream truck will be here from 5:30 – 7:30pm. Collections for the Acton Food Pantry The Discovery Museums will collect donations for the Acton Food Pantry on Fridays as party of this special family promotion. AFP’s wish list items include spaghetti sauce, 100% fruit juice, canned fish, macaroni & cheese, toilet paper, baby food and diapers.
